As we may all know, Dodge created the first U.S. made muscle-supercar named the Viper. This car had a 8.4L inline V10 engine pushing a little over 700 HP. This notorious automobile was released in the late 1990s and had stopped in the early 21st due to a lack of money. Dodge has presumably released a notice that the Viper will begin production in 2013. So is this true? The elite team of Dodge high-performance builders, known as SRT, begin to work on it, they say that pictures will be leaked soon. Let's hope the beast can be tamed and brought back.

Audi's setback
Audi recently started the production of the A6 Avant. This car was supposed to hit the streets in the U.S. by about January 30th, but Audi has hit a dead-mark and can't send the luxury sedan to the U.S. They say this will "limit their profit" in a way as the sedan was priced at a grand price of $56,000. With 63.4 cubic feet of cargo space when the seats are folded down, this car was set to be an award winning traveling car. Audi, you have upset us again. Keep it up! The horrible hospitality of Audi.

Netflix for the win!
I recently bought Netflix and noticed something really interesting to me. They actually have a video over a drift competition! On the scene - Drift battles is the name. I personally think it is a great documentary. It details what they do, how they do it, and what they use to do it. It shows the intelligent people who build the cars capable of being pushed like that for a few nights. They even have Japanese drift king, Keiichi Tsuchiya, come on and show his vehicle of choice and the setup he uses to push his car to the extreme. He has an estimated worth in his car of nearly $15,000 done to the engine. As he would say, "You don't need anything big, but response is key in the form of drifting." He also has an aerodynamic custom-fit body kit on his car to reduce the air resistance. An amazing car if you ask me.

Snow!
For a first this year, we actually had snow! It wasn't much, but plenty to get us out of school and make me happy. Snow is an opportunity for students to catch up on things, but is also a way for drivers to do things they shouldn't. They think it's a showcase of fun and games and that they can slide and drift. Well, they are correct about it being fun but they are stupid for doing it. Who wants to put themselves and others lives in danger over a little fun? It just isn't worth it! So, before you do something stupid with an object that is capable of killing, think! Just think. Give yourself time to think about it. Do you really want to be held reliable for killing someone else over a little fun?! I just ask of you people to think. Just think.

Car News
We all love Nissan, don't we? Well they may just get the best of Ford. They are said to stop the production of Ford compact and semi-compact trucks, supposedly creating a gate for Nissan to take over the truck industry. Who knows, it may happen. Ford is starting to aim towards fuel economical cars, putting this debate to a possible maybe.
In this week, I have been looking at this website. These group of elite engineers and mechanics have been modifying with cars, such as a Honda Civic Si, boosting it up nearly four-times the original horsepower. They announced this on their website on the fifth of January, 2012. They want to transfer the powertrain from the world renowned, Nissan GT-R, which has a staggering 478 horsepower and 434 ft/lb of torque, creating a top speed of 202 MPH, to the Nissan Juke. Think of how this would do in a car that weighs nearly HALF the weight of the GT-R. Anyways, Fox was said to be working with Nissan trying to release this car as the Juke-S model. Maybe they will agree, maybe not.
During the debate of the Juke-S, Nissan was also working on a deal with Mercedes-Benz. They want Nissan to produce four-cylinder engines for them. They are willing to pay, and Nissan wants the money. You may be asking, "Why is Mercedes wanting to work with Nissan?" Simple, Nissan can create engines for cheap, making it a win-win situation for both of the car manufacturer. They will both make money, as Nissan will make nearly $2,500, Mercedes will be making around $14,000 for the complete car.
In the final debate of the day, this includes the British show, Top Gear. They had taken a challenge to run on the world's most amazing road in a Ferrari California, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, and an Aston Martin DBS. They thought it would be a straight out brawl through there, but they ended up sleeping in the car. Which car was the best? Personally, the Ferrari seemed to be the most comfortable, with the driver getting nearly five hours of sleep. In the morning, they noticed they were sleeping in Hoover Dam. In shock, they took off. The Lamborghini was in the lead, around two seconds ahead. They then were coming around turn five, when the Lamborghini hit a car. He was delayed about 1 hour. He ran up to the hotel they were meeting at and began to begin working on the car. He successfully showed Lamborghini is a good brand, and reliable.

My New Year's Resolution for Reading
In this year, I am dedicated to reading more backs, rather about mechanics. I'm dedicated to learn more about cars over this coming year, maybe even work on a few. I looked at a book, "How cars work," by Tom Newton, that may seem interesting to me. It might put me in the spirit of reading about the heavily modified JDM industry, which if you didn't know means Japanese Domestic Market which is a society of highly-modified vehicles. I will, and I mean WILL, read a book about the basics of a car engine. As I know it, literature is the main way of learning about a vehicles insides, other than hands on. The literature aspect of this makes me want to read and thus' has worked. I am now down and set for the new year and vow myself to read at least 10 books, chapters at least going to 20. Now marks the beginning of my reading journey.
